-- With more than 2,000 craft breweries producing more than 10,000 different beers in the U.S. and Canada, it can be a tad overwhelming when trying to decide which beer to try. EmbraceBeer.com, a craft beer rating and recommendation website, can help. Not only is it a tool for users to track which beers they've tried, the site then recommends other beers to them, personalized to their taste.
Users rate beers using a simple 1 to 5 rating scale. A unique EmbraceBeer Taste Profile will develop for each individual, providing an at-a-glance view of the beer styles favored by that user. This, along with the recommended beers, will help guide the user in selecting new beers to try. The more beers a user rates, the more accurate the recommendations will be.
“EmbraceBeer is for anyone who is looking to discover new beers, from the craft beer enthusiast to the craft beer novice,” says Erika Goedrich, CEO of EmbraceBeer. “We believe that everyone's beerable -- that is, there's a craft beer out there for everyone and a craft beer lover in all of us. You just have to be a bit adventurous and we can help you find that beer.”
Beer is social, and EmbraceBeer.com allows users to share the beers they're drinking and rating on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Users can also create a Wish List of beers they'd like to try, and then treat it as a gift registry of sorts as their birthday or Christmas nears.
In the near future, EmbraceBeer will release a mobile app. Until then, the website is accessible on mobile devices.
