-- Grand Rapids, Mich., June 15, 2012 – Plante Moran employees are hooked on caring for the Grand Rapids Fish Ladder. For the fourth year, the firm is planning to tackle a beautification project on Friday, June 15, in partnership with the Grand Rapids Park Services.
Plante Moran spawned the tradition in 2009. In the past, employees have painted railings and a wall, and performed a general park clean up. This year, 10 volunteers have been lured in to plant flowers and weed the beds around the fish ladder from 3:30-5 p.m.
The firm isn’t just fishing for recognition.
“As a firm, we have adopted the park, which is in our backyard,” said Rich Antonini, managing partner at Plant Moran’s Grand Rapids office. “We’re committed to the annual clean-up day, which is one of the many things we do as an office to give back to the community.”
