-- Delhi, June 8, 2012: Internshala has announced the launch of an event ‘InternSaturday’
– a platform for interns in a city from all over India to get together for a day to interact and network with each other and corporate professionals. The day-long which aims to help students graduating in 2013 in making better informed career decisions shall take place on June 30th at Delhi. The activities of the day include keynote address by Mrs. Anu Aga, Guest lecture by TR Ramachandran (MD & CEO, Aviva Life Insurance India), Panel discussions on various career themes (Technology and Entrepreneurship, Higher Education Abroad, Careers in Banking and Finance, Careers in Govt & Social sector, Digital Marketing), informal networking events and soft skill training workshop.
Mrs. Anu Aga, known as much for her business achievements as for her social activism, who has recently been nominated to the Rajya Sabha has consented to be the Keynote Speaker for InternSaturday. As a business leader, Mrs. Anu Aga has been credited with transforming Thermax Ltd. into a global turnkey player in energy and environment projects during her tenure. As a social activist, Mrs. Anu Aga is closely involved with Akanksha, an NGO which supplements the educational needs of children living in slums and is Chairperson for Teach for India. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2010 and is a member of the National Advisory Council headed by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. Press Release
The event shall have panel discussions on Technology and Entrepreneurship, Higher Education Abroad, Careers in Banking and Finance, Govt. & Social sector followed by an interaction session for the students with the panelists. More than 50+ corporate professionals from various organizations such as InMobi, Indian Angel Network, Aviva Life Insurance, British Council, DAAD, US India Education Foundation, Groupon, Teach for India, Flick2Know, Centre for Civil Society etc. would be interacting with students on the day of the event.
The event is open to all pre final year students who are interning in Delhi-NCR this summer. The participation in the event is free for a student and selection would be basis an online application that a student has to submit. To register for the event, one can visit www.internshala.com/
