Nov. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Konstantine La, survival enthusiast and expert, wrote a new article titled "what is the best survival hatchet." His new article talks about the 3 top selling survival hatchets on the market as well as his person rating of each of them.

He mentions "A hatchet is a type of Axe that has a head that weights between 1 to 3 pounds and is small enough to be wielded with one hand. On one end, a hatchet has a sharp blade that runs about 3-5 inches. On the other end, a hatchet has a flat area that you can use as a hammer. Hatchets are often used in camping because it is easy to carry in a backpack, has a range of uses, and is dependable. You can  use it to skin a deer, make a fire, and post a tent."

He reviewed a cheap hatchet, a mid priced hatchet, as well as a $111 hatchet. He found that the best hatchet is actually a $40 mass produced hatchet from Coleman. This finding is astounding because it shows that price does not equal to quality. Konstantine mensions a simple trick to making a blade last longer in the article.
