June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Philadelphia,  PA June 13th 2012  - VES, Inc, the official distributor of acclaimed IPC devices the “VES 5100” and “VES 5200”,  has launched a Sports and Athletic Division of the company which will focus on providing high end injury rehabilitation and muscle recovery equipment to professional sports and athletic teams.   Traditionally VES Inc has focused on delivering their IPC devices to medical and clinical facilities for the treatment of Lymphedema, Chronic Wounds and Venous Insufficiency.    Realizing a vital need for quicker and more efficient rehabilitation treatments for athletes, VES Sports plans to transfer the experience and credibility gained on the medical side of the company to the athletic world.

The launch of VES Sports coincides with the launch of the VES Sports Compression System; an intermittent pneumatic compression device specifically tailored for elite athletes and the various types of injuries and soreness they have to deal with on a daily basis.    From ankle and calve injuries to quadriceps and shoulder soreness, the VES Sports Compression System not only makes recovery and rehab more comfortable for the athlete, but speeds up the recovery process allowing them to return to the game quicker than other treatments or methods.   This not only benefits the athletes themselves, but their trainer, teammates and team owners whose livelihood often depends on their health and playing time.

Boasting 10 Chambers, the fastest cycle times in the industry and custom programmability, the VES Sports Compression System made its official debut at the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this past February and was an instant crowd favorite.   NFL trainers and assistants were given the chance to see the system in action, speak to VES owner Linda Miller and learn the technical details and statistics that make this device one of the most technically advanced sequential compression devices on the market today.

When asked about how the launch of VES Sports came about and her feelings of breaking into a new industry,  VES owner Linda T. Miller, PT, DPT, responded “We’ve had fantastic success on the medical side of VES…..not only in company growth, but in truly being a life changer for people with Lymphedema and chronic wounds.   There is absolutely nothing better than receiving a letter from a patient who has been able to turn their life around because they used a device that you helped create….it’s amazing.   This type of feedback and response to our products was really the spark that started the journey into the “sports arena”.  Having been a physical therapist in the past and seeing firsthand the extreme conditions that athletes put their bodies through, I knew that our products could be an incredible asset to the trainers responsible for getting these athletes back into playing shape.  The only challenge - a huge challenge - was getting our products into the hands of the trainers so that they could see the results for themselves.    We were able to accomplish this at the 2012 NFL Combine this past February, with trainers from several NFL teams requesting onsite demonstrations.   Their response to the VES Sports Compression System has been has nothing short of amazing.   We’re looking forward to helping athletes rehab easier, recover quicker and get back to playing the game they love. “
