The Boone Agency Signs Contemporary Jazz Guitarist David P. Stevens

June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- The Boone Agency is proud to announce the addition of Contemporary Jazz Guitarist David P. Stevens to their roster.  In addition to being an outstanding musician, David is also a producer, writer and vocalist. With three CDs currently under his belt, “Timeless”, “The Shed” and “Uptown”, David is quickly establishing himself as a permanent part of the Contemporary Jazz world.

David  began playing the guitar at age 12.  Quickly by the age 15, he began writing, recording, and playing professionally.  After college, David headed to Nashville, Tennessee where he was the lead guitarist in the house band for the Trinity Broadcasting Network.  While in Nashville, he did some touring, writing, producing and performing.  From Nashville, David relocated several times to pursue diverse musical ventures.

David describes his sound as a mixture of heroes such as George Benson, Norman Brown, Paul Jackson Jr., Mike Stern and Hiram Bullock.  He credits his production and writing style to several influences, including artists such as George Duke, Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder, as well as being from Philadelphia and the music he listened to when growing up.  David is currently working on his next CD, due to be released in August 2012.
