Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp Recognized by Respected Legal 500 Guide to Leading Law Firms

June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Los Angeles – June 13, 2012 – Legal 500, the widely respected series of guides that review the strengths and strategies of law firms in dozens of countries worldwide, has recognized the national Intellectual Property/Copyright Practice and the West Coast Tax Practice of Los Angeles-based law firm Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp (MS&K).
   For the second consecutive year, MS&K’s Intellectual Property Practice was honored among law firms with national copyright practices and Los Angeles-based partner Russell Frackman was individually honored as one of the leading lawyers in the field. Several of Frackman’s colleagues – Marc Mayer, Karin Pagnanelli and Robert Rotstein in the Los Angeles office, Howard Weller in the firm’s New York office – were also recognized by the editors as highly knowledgeable practitioners. MS&K’s national copyright practice had been regularly recognized by Legal 500 until the category was eliminated in 2009 and 2010.
   Legal 500 also recognized MS&K within its Domestic Tax: West Coast section, noting that the firm’s tax practice serves a national client base of individuals, for-profit and nonprofit entities, as well as controversy and legislative work. The editors specifically recognized MS&K partner David Newman, who heads up the practice, and partner Allan Cutrow. MS&K’s tax practice has been included in the Legal 500 for the past several years.
