June 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Last April 28, 2012, the DVRO Philippine Team finally celebrated their first year of virtual camaraderie. This memorable get together was tied in a barbecue lunch held at Balanghai Manokan, a chicken restaurant in downtown General Santos. Some of the staffs’ kids and loved ones were brought in which added cheer in the event.

Rahel Banisil being the most punctual had arrived with her husband at 10:45 am. Second to enter the venue’s door were Danny and Jhoanna Rosauro who came in with their small kid. Few minutes later, the staffs rushed in one after another. The excited team was completed upon the final entrance of its manager, Iris Ofqueria together with her kids at exactly 12:00 noon.

As a kick off to the celebration, Iris distributed the salary envelopes to the eagerly waiting staffs. All were wearing a smile. All were happy. All were chatting. And all were ever thankful to the opportunity and friendship that DVRO had brought to their lives. The bonding between everyone grew as minutes flew while waiting for the special meal.

Hooray for Mr. Peter Van den Broeck for being such a good employer who became a savior from unemployment to many souls here; and the one who stood patient and kind for more than a year imparting job lessons and enduring mistakes. Long live DVRO!  And thank you for such a lunch treat Sir!

–DVRO (Discount Vacation Rentals Online) Philippine Team is a group of virtual workers who are employed by a Florida-based vacation rental company owned by Peter Van den Broeck. The team was created last February 2011 with only 5 members along with Iris Ofqueria, as its long standing manager. Iris has begun to work for Mr. Van den Broeck at some time in August 2010 as a writer. Good news broke her ears upon receiving a request from Sir Peter to create a team of freelancers who are in capacity to lend technical assistance online. DVRO Philippine Team was born with its manager’s diligence. For months, it welcomed new members and paid farewell to some. It continues to grow that it hauls up 17 members to attend its first anniversary.
