The Association of Junior Leagues International Promotes Laurie Dodge to Head of Development

Will focus on broadening relationships with nonprofit partners and corporate sponsors at the national level

June 12, 2012 - PRLog -- New York – The Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. today announced that Laurie Dodge has been named Director of Marketing & Development. In her new role, she will be responsible for broadening the 111-year-old women’s volunteer organization’s relationships with nonprofit partners and corporate sponsors at the national level. Ms. Dodge, who joined AJLI in 2009, had been Director of Marketing & Communications.

Susan Danish, AJLI’s Executive Director, said, “Laurie is uniquely qualified for this role. In three years, she has done much to elevate our profile as one of the largest, most effective volunteer-driven nonprofits. Turning her attention to development, Laurie will nurture our existing partner relationships while engaging with new partners that realize the value of association with our more than 155,000 members in 293 independent Leagues in four countries.”

Ms. Dodge came to AJLI with a rich background in marketing and communications at for-profit companies in New York, including Christie’s, the international auction house; Interbrand, one of the world’s leading branding consultancies; and IconNicholson, a leading NYC-based digital agency.

AJLI’s corporate sponsors include Kashi, Lierac, Digital Cheetah, Marsh, EatingWell, and Océ.
