June 11, 2012 - PRLog -- “It is estimated that up to 70 per cent of primary care visits are stress related,” says Dr. Mike in the 10 minute video. “Everyone can use simple techniques to reduce their daily experiences of stress and improve their quality of life. Evidence shows that if people manage their stress well, they have better health outcomes for virtually any disease they may suffer from.”

“I first conceived this series because people want the highest quality health information, but they want in a way that is compelling and accessible. I think a YouTube Medical School for the public with visual lectures is a great start. We can improve on ‘Dr. Google’ and ideally start creating some healthy viruses. The global reach of these messages is really incredible, the Arabic translation of 23 and ½ Hours has reached over eight hundred thousand views in less then one week.”

Dr. Mike Evans is founder of the Health Design Lab at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, an Associate Professor of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Toronto, and a staff physician at St. Michael's Hospital. Dr. Mike lives in Toronto with his wife and three active kids.
