Uplift, Inc. Presents Invention Adventure, a Potential Geek Reality Show

June 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Can students invent on the fly? Sure they can if their life depended upon it. Necessity  is the Mother of Invention. Every person has an inner geek that needs to bloom. At the Invention Adventure Summer Camp,  students learn to invent by  theorizing what inventions they will create to survive a shipwreck.

Unbeknownst to the students,  their parents have agreed to allow their  Suburban students, not accustomed to the urban jungle, to be shipwrecked on a real island. Students will be dropped off at the famed Detroit Belle Isle Park Beach with no way to return home.  Students will need to create 5 survival  tools  to return home. We will see first hand if they have an inventive spirit to apply Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) skills they have learned.

Come laugh with us as we film this first group of unsuspecting students, potential geeks, as they scramble to hunt for supplies we have hidden on Belle Isle. Their journey will prove to generate a gut wrenching laughter as they utilize the hidden invention skills they have.

Invention Adventure, http://youtu.be/tyV7Eir5EzA,  is a Survivor-styled treasure hunt and summer camp to discover if young people can summon their inner geek to expand their invention skills. Invention Adventure Reality Webshow will document their antics and activities to facilitate lessons learned for both the students and the adults in their lives. Immersion and laughter seems to be the best teacher. Secondary schools can purchase Invention Adventure for summer camp, after school or Saturday school activities to assist students summon their inner geek.

As American businesses are calling for more innovation and invention in their employees as innovation and invention  create product, services, revenue, profits and jobs. We are seeking to infuse  invention in a fun yet exhilarating format. Young people love reality television  shows full of laughter, challenge and competition. Now they can be involved in a reality television show. . You have watched Punk’d, Candid Camera, Survivor,  now you can watch Invention Adventure, a reality show for potential geeks.

Uplift, Inc.is raising funds to secure the film equipment and to hire the personnel we need to generate a high quality multi-angle Invention Adventure Reality webshow.

We need 6 cameras, 6 filmographers,  to follow our students till they have completed the assignment. We also need  an editor  and 1 music/ sound editor. Let's put some young people to work.

We plan to use the equipment  for every Invention Adventure Camp to create a series of Webshows as we expand the camps around the country. Our goal has been to get the world involved in the fun of inventing until inventing becomes as common as walking and talking. We are utilizing multiple fun activities to infuse invention into families to reach a person’s inner geek.

Invention Adventure camp will also house a mini Fluke Tournament. Fluke Tournaments is based on Fluke - the wealth building game of accidental invention and seeks to explain why inventing is necessary. FlukeTM - the wealth building game of accidental inventions exposes students to the fast paced wild, wild world of intellectual property – full of thrilling scientific research, wacky inventions, stock explosions, gigantic wealth and legal duels. Students will play to build a portfolio of cash, patents and research corporations as they maneuver through Risk and Rewards in the world of intellectual property. The person with the largest portfolio wins!!!!
