News 12 Long Island Receives 19 Press Club Of Long Island Awards

The Press Club of Long Island presented News 12 Long Island with 19 honors, including 7 first place wins, making them one of the top winners of the night at its awards banquet held at the Woodbury Country Club last night.

June 8, 2012 - PRLog -- The Press Club of Long Island (PCLI) presented News 12 Long Island with 19 honors, including 7 first place wins, making them one of the top winners of the night at its awards banquet held at the Woodbury Country Club last night.

First Place Awards:

§   Non Deadline News – Search for a Serial Killer: Lauren Sivan, Debi Gade, Brian Jingeleski, Brian Endres, Glenn Garthwaite

§   Business/Economical/Financial – Hidden Treasures: Antoinette Biordi, David Rahner
§   Environmental/Science/Health/Technology – Ride for Life: Elizabeth Hashagen, Brian Jingeleski

The Press Club of Long Island is a local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and awards distributed at their dinner are for the calendar year 2011.  

In addition to these PCLI awards, this year News 12 Long Island also garnered five New York Emmy awards, two Edward R. Murrow awards, four New York Press Club awards, four first place New York Associated Press awards, and one Deadline Club award from the New York chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
