Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda Joins the Development Committee at Make-A-Wish ®

June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- The year 1983 had a special significance for both Make-A-Wish® and Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda. It was that year 14-year old Tamara was granted the first wish – to see the clear blue waters of the Caribbean.

That year was significant for Ledda as well, as that’s the year he lost his mother.

“Traveling to the Caribbean had been her dream, one she sadly was unable to fulfill,” he said.

“I decided that working with Make-A-Wish® Orange County was the right fit for Morgan Drexen. It’s strange the connections that inspire you to become involved.”

Costa Mesa based Morgan Drexen provides integrated software platforms for law firms nationwide, allowing for increased productivity. The savings to the attorney allow ordinary Americans to be able to afford legal help who otherwise might not.

In recent weeks, Morgan Drexen signed up a 90-strong team for the 2nd Annual Walk For Wishes® at the Great Park in Irvine. The walk raised more than $196,000 for Make-A-Wish®. In addition, Morgan Drexen also made contributions for three wonderful wish children in Orange County.

“As a growing company coming through economically challenging times, it’s so rewarding the employees at Morgan Drexen get behind our efforts so whole-heartedly,” Ledda said.

“I am thrilled to be invited to work with Sarah Pizzaruso as part of the Development Committee. My background is in finance and automation so I hope to bring those skills to the table and that they will benefit Make-A-Wish®.”

Make –A-Wish® has sixty-two chapters nationally and twenty-eight chapters internationally. Make-A-Wish® has granted 200,000 wishes across America alone. The Orange County chapter has been responsible for more than 5,000 of those wishes and continues to work hard under the direction of Stephanie McCormick.
