Augusta Native Returns For Booksigning Engagement At Barnes & Noble-augusta Mall

Augusta’s son, Laurence (Lonz) Cook returns home after a military career in the Marine Corps, and as a celebrated author of “When Love Evolves;” has a book signing engagement at the Barnes and Noble, Augusta Mall, July 13th 4 to 7 pm.
 
June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Augusta’s son, Laurence (Lonz) Cook returns home after a military career in the Marine Corps, and finds fame as a celebrated author of “When Love Evolves;” (the Sequel to Good Guys Finish Last)  a traditionally published novel by Sterling and Ross Cambridge House Press.  Lonz is the son of the late Reverend Dr. F. Francis Cooke and Mrs. M. Alice Cook, former pastor and first lady of Mt Vernon (Augusta) and Okay Grove (Columbia County) Baptist Churches. Mrs. Cook was also a Teacher’s Aide at Tubman Junior High School.

Lonz will appear at Barnes & Noble’s New Writers Night at the August Mall on Friday July 13th 4pm-7pm.  He will deliver book excerpts, give autographs, and entertain readers. His writing and story will mesmerize readers. He shares true to life fiction by weaving situations of social behavior throughout his stories. He believes behavior defines women in their quest for love.    

‎What makes his novels unique? 96.6 million of the US population is single. This is 43% of the US population based on 2009 Consensus. Of this 43%, single women 18 and older make up 61% of the statistic. Women who wants to have a heterosexual relationship, has a 12:1 chance of finding that one guy who makes her dream of happier days. Lonz writes how some women accept anyone to avoid being alone? He shows how some fall for the sly conniving and avoids the steady and respectful? Lonz wrote When Love Evolves telling a story of women finding that one special guy by using common behavior. He explores the rituals of dating for sex and highlights how women employ seduction. His story shares how women fall for the con, and how some compete with each other for a man’s attention.

Lonz plans to bring his Author’s Share event to Augusta.  Author’s Share is a free public event, where local and national authors showcase their work in a cozy or intimate setting. Authors discuss, promote, and autograph, current books and new ideas or concepts to writing.  So far, Authors from all over the United States have attended and contributed. Lonz has hosted Author’s Share events in the Atlanta and surrounding areas for the past two years. A typical audience comprises of people from age 21 to a fun mature 75.

The author graduated from Westside High School, Regents College, and Central Michigan University. He is a technology specialist, and an adjunct professor at The Keller School of Management, DeVry University.  He also authored reader favorites such as  “A Choice to Yield,” released May 2009 and “Good Guys Finish Last,” which hit markets July 2008.
