Linium Moves to Support of ITIL 2011

June 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Linium (www.linium.com) announced today, they will now support the ITIL v3 2011 edition across all of their programs and education courses.

ITIL 2011 is not ITIL version 4 or ITIL version 3.1, it is an update to ITIL version 3 to make it more useable. The new enhancements were made to improve consistency, accessibility and usability of the core publications. The update has removed inconsistencies in content and structure. Also, ITIL version 1 is no longer in existence, and version 2 will be removed from the market over a period of time.  To distinguish between the 2007 and 2011 editions, the latest edition carries the 2011 Edition logo. This latest edition is now referred to as ITIL v3 2011 Edition or ITIL 2011 - note the term ITIL 2007 is used for the first edition of ITIL V3.

According to ITIL experts, a substantial amount of content has been added and it is not just a cosmetic change. In addition, there are a few new processes, while others are described in greater detail. Apart from these bigger changes, many clarifications and enhancements were introduced throughout all parts of the ITIL core books on a smaller scale. As a result, it is almost impossible to compare the two editions and come up with a detailed and complete list of all changes.
