7 Waterfront Festivals Combine Live Painting & Live Music

June 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Long Islanders will be treated to a new event series designed to stimulate the senses, with multiple live bands accompanied by more than 100 artists simultaneously speed-painting while inspired by the music, audience interaction, and scenic water views.

This summer marks the first season of Summer Arts Series, with a schedule of seven outdoor festivals taking place on Sunday afternoons, at three waterfront parks in the Huntington NY area.

Says series producer, Rich Rivkin, “Each week, I see the magic that’s created when we combine a large number of artists together with high energy musicians. Live Painting in this charged atmosphere becomes an exciting entertainment genre, and makes for a uniquely cool vibe.  Fans move to the groove, while watching amazing works of art come to life before their eyes.”

Rivkin has been producing live events and festivals since 2000, including the ongoing weekly indoor event, Live Art Fusion (LiveArtFusion.com) which takes place every Wednesday night at 841 East Lounge in Huntington, featuring more than a dozen artists speed-painting to the music of a different jazz funk band each week.  “I’m thankful for the opportunity to bring four expanded mega-versions of this event to Heckscher Park, Vanderbilt Museum, and Northport Village Park this summer, in the form of Live Art Fusion Festival”, says Rivkin.

In addition to the Live Art Fusion Festivals, this year’s Summer Arts Series calendar includes three other themed events: Long Island Sound & Art Festival (LISoundFestival.com), Live Art Drum & Dance Fest (DjembeMovement.com), and Grateful Fest (GratefulFest.com).
