Summer Is A Scream At The Springs Preserve With Venom!
Daily indoor live animal shows star a venomous cast of creatures
Witness the slithering reptiles that bring fascination and fear to the minds of many throughout the world. From the comfort and distance of your seat in the Big Springs Theater let our Springs Preserve zoologists introduce you to a rotating cast of reptiles such as Mojave sidewinders, Great Basin rattlesnakes, Speckled rattlesnakes, Desert night snakes, and Gila monsters. You’ll learn how and why they use venom, and so much more!
"This will be a great show for our guests to learn more about the venomous reptiles native to the Mojave,” says Preserve Supervising Zoologist Thomas O'Toole. "We will discuss some common myths and hopefully encourage a deeper understanding for these often times misunderstood animals."
Shows take place daily at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., June 1 through July 15. Show times subject to change, visit www.springspreserve.org for details. This exciting live-animal show is free for membersor included with General Admission. $9.95 Adults, 4.95 Children 5-17, those 5 and under are free.
Springs Preserve Admission Prices
General Admission (GA) for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for students, seniors, teachers and military, $4.95 for children ages 5 – 17, kids 4 and under are free. General admission also includes access to the Nevada State Museum, open Fridays through Mondays. Admission for nonresidents adults is $18.95, $17.05 seniors, students and military, $10.95 for children ages 5 – 17, kids 4 and under are free. Cost for admission to special events and classes vary and can be found at www.springspreserve.org.
Springs Preserve Membership
Springs Preserve membership is the perfect way to share the Springs Preserve with family and friends and easy-to-purchase gift cards are available on-line or at the Springs Preserve Ticketing Office. All memberships include year-round access to the Springs Preserve (half-off admission to select special events), early hours entry to gardens and trails, discounts to classes and workshops, the Gift Shop, the Springs Cafe by the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, access to the Nevada State Museum, and a subscription to the Springs Preserve member newsletter. There are a variety of gift options to choose from starting with an Individual membership ($25), a Family membership ($60) which includes two (2) adults and up to 6 children or grandchildren in same household ages 5 - 17 (children 4 and under are always free), or a Bronze Family membership ($100) which includes all member benefits plus extras including free stroller rental, preferred parking, and 2 free guest passes.
