The Signature Room at the 95th Has A Full Flavored Plan To Support Misericordia Home

June 5, 2012 - PRLog -- CHICAGO, Ill. – Throughout the month of June, Misericordia Home will serve as the beneficiary of The Signature Room’s year-long Charity of the Month program. The non-profit will receive 10 percent of sales generated from the Signature Menu served in the main dining room. The Charity of the Month program, created by owners Rick Roman and Nick Pyknis, has donated over $1 million to upwards of 200 non-profit organizations in Chicago since its inception in 1993.

Executive Chef Brandon Wolff has created an exclusive a la carte menu for the Charity of the Month program, which also features a Signature cocktail for the month of June.  Enjoy a break from the summer sun with a cucumber martini made with Thatcher’s Organic Cucumber Liquor, Beefeater gin and garnished with a fresh cucumber slice. Starters include grilled octopus served with a radish salad, lemon zest and thyme; cream of asparagus soup with crispy prosciutto and minced chives; or a wild watercress salad with mixed greens, shaved heart of palm in a mustard vinaigrette. Delicious entrées include a pan-fried Skate wing served with sautéed spinach and lemon-caper brown butter or risotto Milanese with braised veal osso bucco and spring peas. Finally, end on a sweet note with the summer fruit mille fuille with lemon grass gelee, huckleberry compote and peach sorbet.
