1976 was a huge year; we celebrated America's 200th birthday and Honda marked the year by introducing the Accord. The Accord became the first Japanese car to be produced in the United States when manufacturing began at Honda's Marysville Auto Plant. The innovative Accord broke the mold of the mild-mannered car by creating a practical automobile that combined economy and value with sporty style and spirited performance. The first generation of Accords delivered as promised with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that propelled the 2,000 pound Accord quickly and efficiently. The subsequent three generations featured improvements like longer wheelbases, larger and more fuel-efficient engines, and coupe versions of the Accord. The mid-nineties brought the Accord a completely redesigned exterior and a new VTEC engine. 2000 and beyond saw a few more body style changes and improvements, along with an increase in overall length and width. What didn't change was how Honda valued the fundamentals of dependability, quality and reliability. The 2012 Honda Accord, now available at Bell Honda, continues to carry on this tradition.
The 2012 Accord is the only vehicle that earned a 5-star safety rating in each of the NHTSA's combined safety rating categories. It's no wonder with predecessors like the 2010 Accord. Following ALG and Kelley Blue Book's 2010 Honda Accord reviews, the esteemed publications honored the sedan with the "Best Residual Value Award for the Mid-size Segment" and "Best Resale Value Award" respectively. Check out a new 2012 Honda Accord sedan at Bell Honda in five exciting trim levels: The Accord LX, LX Premium, SE, EX and EX-L. The EX-L is also available with Honda's Satellite-Linked Navigation System.
