Follow on Google News | Amy's Ice Creams Presents America's Only Ice Cream Trick CompetitionUnique ice cream trick competition showcases talented ice cream scoops from Houston, San Antonio and Austin benefiting non-profit CASA of Travis County.
By: Amy's Ice Creams An ice cream trick combines juggling, acrobatics, and a little bit of magic, as scoops (Amy’s name for servers) toss and catch ice cream. Scoops come from all fifteen stores across Texas compete in three categories including: Best Solo Trick, Best Team Trick & Trick Decathlon Winner. The Trick Decathlon is a race against time where scoops have to perform 10 random tricks in rapid succession each increasing in difficulty. This year’s event will feature a performance from a group of scoops called, Parlor Tricks. The team auditioned for America’s Got Talent on NBC and will perform their signature team trick from the show. There will also be a battle to beat the world record for the most ice cream scoops caught in one minute. Two scoops will attempt to beat the current record of 25 scoops caught and thrown in two minute. Amy's Ice Cream employees will help raise funds for a local non-profit charity, CASA of Travis County and will hold a raffle and donate up to 20 percent of our Sixth Street store’s sales to CASA & awareness for the Court Appointed Special Advocacy organization. “A fun celebration of ice cream, tricks and community is a great way to kick off this summer season,” said Amy Simmons, President and CEO of Amy’s Ice Creams. “Our scoops work hard perfecting their ice cream slinging tricks; Trick Olympics is a great way for them to celebrate their work with the community and for a good cause.“ Get ready for some high flying fun!
