The 2012 Best Franchise Awards, sponsored by Lloyds TSB, now open

Following their coveted launch last year, Smith & Henderson, has announced today that the 2012 Best Franchise Awards are now open for franchisors to register. Lloyds TSB has also been named as the Official Sponsor.

June 2, 2012 - PRLog -- What makes the Best Franchise Awards unique is they are based on feedback from thousands of existing franchisees, gathered through Smith & Henderson’s Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark survey.  This works by inviting existing franchisees to review and provide anonymous feedback on their franchise ownership experience.  As consistent questions are asked the benchmark data is used to recognise the best franchise opportunities in the UK.  It’s free to participate and franchisors also receive a complimentary summary of their overall network results.

Richard Holden, Lloyds TSB’s Head of Franchising noted, “We are proud to be the Official Sponsor of the 2012 Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark programme because it is driving up industry standards by improving transparency, helping ethical franchisors stand out from the crowd and also understand how their networks really feel so they can improve the quality of their support.”

Lloyds TSB has also committed to review and potentially offer preferential banking terms to franchisors that choose to share their Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark results with the bank because these can reduce its risk and demonstrate the franchise system’s long term viability.

The awards are free to enter and open to franchisors with at least eight franchisees in the UK.  There are awards for Best Training & Support, Best Franchise System, Most Recommended Franchise, Most Rewarding Franchise and Best Overall Franchise.  There are also categories depending on the size of the franchisor and the level of investment required to become a franchisee.

The 2011 winners included TaxAssist Accountants (Best Training & Support), Home Instead Senior Care (Best Franchise System), Jasper’s Corporate Catering (Best Growing Franchisor – 8-14 franchisees), with Puddle Ducks taking a brace (Most Recommended Franchise and Best Overall Franchise).  Co Founder, Jo Stone, commented: “We commissioned the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark survey to get feedback from our franchisees to see what improvements could be made to our systems, with no thoughts about winning awards at all.  We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to win such prestigious awards amongst such tough competition.  Winning the Overall Best Franchise is just fantastic endorsement from our franchisees that our training, systems and every other aspect of our franchise is of a high standard within the industry.”
