-- Usher Morgan, CEO of Digital Magic Entertainment and the director behind The Thought Exchange film, announced the acquisition of 'Director's Cut.' The company will re-cut, rename and re-release the film with an additional investment of $100K. The film will be released to theaters on December 14th, 2012. It will be produced and distributed by Digital Magic Entertainment under its new title, 'Let's Make a Movie'.
The film stars Hallie York, Johnathan Fernandez and Brian Cheng. It is centered around Cassie (played by York), a young college dropout, determined to find her place in the world by producing and directing the next great blockbuster. The problem? Cassie has no money, no cast and no talent to make this "indiestaster"
. The result is a fun family comedy, driven by the desire of one teenager to make her dream come true, while having to face "real life".
The film received positive reviews and won the Indie Spirit Award in the New Hope Film Festival and the Boston International Film Festival, as well as Director's Choice Award in the Kent Film Festival.
