Free Printable Alphabet Bingo Cards and Bingo Game released by Answers 2000

June 1, 2012 - PRLog -- High Wycombe, UK, 1 June– Today Answers 2000 Limited released a free set  of Alphabet bingo cards and an associated bingo game.

“Our Bingo Card Printer software can produce custom bingo cards on literally any subject that a teacher wishes,” said Sunil Tanna, director of Answers 2000 Limited. “However, the requirement for alphabet bingo cards – that is to say, bingo cards containing letters rather than numbers – is such a common requirement that we decided to offer a downloadable and printable set for free.”

Innovative teachers have found many ways to make use of alphabet bingo cards, including:

1. Phonemic Awareness Bingo:  The teacher calls out words, and the students must identify and check off the matching initial letter squares on their bingo cards. For example, if the teacher calls out “alligator”, students are required to identify it begins with the letter “a” and mark off that square.

2. Letter-Writing Practise: The students must copy the called out letters rather than simply checking off squares.

3. NATO Phonetic Alphabet Practise: This is a revision game ideal for adult education, when learning the phonetic alphabet. For example, when the teacher calls “A” or “B”, students might be required to write in the phonetic equivalent “alfa” or “bravo”.
