Follow on Google News | Flash Looking To Stomp On San Francisco Opponents In Final Conference North FixtureThe Flash return home this Saturday looking to take another 3 points and a perfect 4 out of 4 record against teams from the NPSL Conference North
By: Staff Already accounting for the Bay Area Ambassadors, North Coast Tsunami and most recently the scalp of much fancied Sacramento Gold, the Flash return home this Saturday June 2 (Del Norte High School field in Poway) to play to the San Francisco Stompers at the later kick-off time of 7pm. Head Coach Warren Barton was glowing in his assessment of the team’s performances to date. “You can’t fault the team at the moment. They are playing with lots of confidence, are solid at the back and scoring goals for fun. My goal for the next few weeks is to make sure they don’t become complacent and drop unnecessary points which will see teams like Fullerton and Santa Clarita make ground on us. “There is still a long way to go but with the incentive of the final four tournament being hosted here in San Diego, there is no doubt in my mind that the lads are focused on being there at the end of the season.” Barton said. The two weeks away from home and the ensuing results have left Flash supporters excited for their teams return to Del Norte. Flash CEO Clent Alexander mentioned that the buzz around San Diego for the Flash is fantastic, with the most promising sign being the uptake of the new souvenir youth soccer season passes . “We support youth soccer and as a sign of our appreciation for the grassroots of the game not only are we giving away season passes for free but we are letting every youth soccer player have the opportunity to personalize them online at www.sandiegoflashsoccer.com. “We believe all kids in the region should have the opportunity to watch pro soccer and that costs should never be a barrier to entry. “Who knows, some of the kids which come through our turnstiles may one day become a player for the San Diego Flash!” Mr Alexander said. Teams are encouraged to visit www.sandiegoflashsoccer.com and follow the instructions to receive their free passes. Fill in the form, upload your photo and pick them up at the next Flash home game. It’s that easy! Fans can also purchase tickets online for this weekend’s game against San Francisco and receive a 20% discount on admission. End
