-- Drs. Mirtha Amador and Michael Perez of Gables Exceptional Dentistry are South Florida dentists who embody the Montel Williams A Soldier’s Smile charity as showcased in their office. On their website you can see a link that mentions their involvement with the charity and their offering of 10 to 15% on cosmetic and restorative dentistry treatments to troops and their families. What the website does not say is that they will be providing a veteran with free restorative dental care in the coming months as part of their involvement with the charity.
The Coral Gables dentists are amongst nearly two dozen Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics (ACE) dentists who have volunteered their resources to help a veteran who may be ineligible for dentistry through the V.A. The events are sponsored by celebrity and military veteran Montel Williams who will be promoting the events on national television and locally. Drs. Amador and Perez are slated to help a veteran out in the coming months and will be featured on television for their services.
The A Soldier’s Smile charity has already kicked off and a veteran on the west coast has already been helped by the efforts of an ACE dentist. This particular patient was told by their doctor that they would risk death if they did not get the dental care they needed before necessary medical procedures were performed. It is through examples like these that make these restorations so necessary and to show our troops that as a community, we care.
