MIT Nuclear Energy Expert Richard K. Lester to Keynote at SimWorld International 2012

Noted nuclear scientist, author and educator Richard K. Lester of MIT will headline a prestigious panel of expert speakers at SimWorld International 2012, November 13-14 in Dubai.

May 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Noted nuclear scientist, author and educator Richard K. Lester of MIT will headline a prestigious panel of expert speakers at SimWorld International 2012. SimWorld is a biennial educational conference on simulation and training technologies for the energy and process industries. It takes place this year November 13-14 in Dubai, U.A.E. As always, the event will be hosted by GSE Systems, Inc. (NYSE Amex- GVP), a global energy services solutions provider.

As head of MIT’s Nuclear Science and Engineering Department, Dr. Lester works to advance the frontiers of research and education in energy and non-energy applications of nuclear science and technology. He is also the founding director of MIT’s Industrial Performance Center. Dr. Lester’s research focuses on innovation management and policy, with an emphasis on the energy and manufacturing sectors. His latest book is Unlocking Energy Innovation:  How America Can Build a Low-Cost, Low-Carbon Energy System (MIT Press, 2012).

Dr. Lester obtained his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Imperial College (London) and a doctorate in nuclear engineering from MIT. He has been a member of the MIT faculty since 1979. He serves on several boards as an advisor and consultant to corporations, governments, foundations and non-profit groups and speaks frequently to academic, business and general audiences throughout the world.
