May 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Johnson has partnered with several area motorcycle clubs, businesses and residents in launching Operation D2 Clean Street. The mission of Operation D2 Clean Street is to adopt one main street a month, in District 2 and sweep it clean. The objective is to beautify our neighborhoods and increase patronage at our local business establishments.

“It’s really time for all of us to get involved and be actively engaged and concerned about improving the quality of life in our communities. This begins with each of us.”

Johnson said litter and trash is something that can be controlled if everyone would make a conscious effort to appropriately dispose of their own trash.   “I went to school during a time when there was a strong nationally led anti-liter campaign, so I’ve always been conscious of how trash and liter impacts our ichix environment. ”

Operation D2 Clean Street kicks off this Saturday, June 2, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, on the south corner of Penn and West Broadway Avenue in north Minneapolis.

“We are excited about the bikers being involved and we are expecting a good turn-out. So if you want something to do this Saturday, come out and join us.”
