May 31, 2012 - PRLog -- “And They’re Off” comedic film by Emmy award winning director Rob Schiller (well known for television hit “King of Queens”), is being released on DVD with Amazon.com and Netflix!

Featuring San Jose, California native Tyra Colar as “Bonnie Rivers”, audiences will thoroughly enjoy Tyra with cast mates Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings Trilogy), Kevin Nealon (Happy Gilmore), Cheryl Oteri (Saturday Night Live), Mo Collins (Mad TV), and more.

Tyra first appeared in the spotlight at just 16 years old by winning the title of Miss San Jose Teen.  Going on to win other titles such as Ms. Teen of the Nation and Ms. California, Tyra embarked upon her dream of becoming an actress while attending California State University, Northridge.

Eager to kick-start her acting career, Tyra committed to graduating from CSUN in just three years and relocated to New York City, diving into the theater scene honing her acting chops.
While in New York City, Tyra began making regular appearances on the CBS daytime soap, “Guiding Light” and did several guest appearances on the ABC soap “One Life To Live.” In addition, she made her first film debut as the lead in the Showtime film, “The Choices We Make“. Shortly thereafter, Tyra appeared in the independent film “MovieMoney”.

With the recent cancellation of “Guiding Light” Tyra moved back to Los Angeles and immediately began working, having appeared in several print ads and television commercials, in addition to ABC’s “Cougar Town” and CBS hit “The Mentalist“.
