Chemistry shortlisted as Employer of the Year in European Business awards
“To know that we are leading our field as an employer is incredible”
Chemistry is shortlisted for Employer of the Year award, punching above its weight for a small employer. Chemistry has grown from 6 to 20 employees in just 2 years and is set to grow to 30 by the end of 2012.
The European Business Awards has identified some of Europe’s brightest businesses based on their ability to demonstrate the three core principles at the heart of the Awards programme. The panel of judges were looking for organisations to represent the UK which exhibit innovation, business excellence and sustainability.
Francesca Cockram, Chemistry’s Marketing Goddess, said: “I can’t tell you how thrilled we are to receive this honour. The European Business Awards is recognised as the showcase for Europe’s most dynamic companies and to know that we are leading our field as an employer and our country is incredible.
“In the UK’s biggest recession, Chemistry people are achieving record financial performance while remaining true to our company’s values. Our people come first, then customers, then cash. We have 20 people here working to predict the future performance of people at work and we’re experiencing incredible growth. Everyone lives and breathes our values of being passionate, brave and human, which means we give our people - and our clients’ people - the opportunity to be brilliant at work.”
The European Business Awards is dedicated to raising the visibility and progress of companies who excel in delivering innovation twinned with successful commercial results whilst acting responsibly and positively affecting the social environment they operate in. The 2011 European Business Awards showcased organisations with a combined turnover of €1 trillion Euros (8.23% of EU GDP including Turkey, Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan). These businesses employ over 2.7 million people across the continent.
Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards says, “Over the past six years we’ve received an incredibly high standard of entries from organisations that are passionate about their business. However, very few get the chance to fly the flag for their country and compete across Europe to be recognised as one of Europe’s leading companies. It really is an exceptional accolade to be picked as a National Finalist, and together with our sponsors and supporters we’re looking forward to seeing Chemistry in the next round”.
