QSAN Unified Storage U600Q Wins Best Choice Award at Computex 2012
The Qsan's unified storage system U600Q consolidates file-level and block-level access in one single storage platform and supports IP-based SAN (iSCSI) and NAS (network attached storage) at the same time.
The unified storage system consolidates file-level and block-level access in one single storage platform and supports IP-based SAN (iSCSI) and NAS (network attached storage) at the same time, so enterprises can run and manage files and applications in one device to reduce hardware requirements. Furthermore, with the Amazon S3 backup integration, NAS, SAN and the cloud therefore converge into Qsan’s U600Q system to provide appealing combination of high performance, high-capacity and robust storage solution.
UnifiedAUTH for Simple Management
The U600Q provides UnifiedAUTH feature to greatly increase the IT management simplicity. The patent-filing UnifiedAUTH technology is that any OS client (Windows, Linux, Mac, ftp, WebDAV) and iSCSI CHAP can log onto the U600Q device through a Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP authentication with a single log-in.
Daniel Lin, Sales Direct at Qsan said, “For IT administrators, they can just manage employees’ accounts by Windows AD and there’s no need for extra settings of sync or authentication to the storage space. This will solve the top headache of Linux NAS today. On the other hand, end-users can easily use their Windows AD ID and password to login via clients of any popular OS. There are no more worries to remember lots of passwords to access different domains and shared folders. It will greatly enhance the efficiency in the working environment.”
