Manatee Pocket Yacht Sales adopts online boat closing solution that shortens contract closing cycle

Florida yacht broker shortens boat closing process with adoption of online closing system.

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Port Salerno, Florida based Manatee Pocket Yacht Sales has adopted a new secure online boat closing solution that has shortened the contract closing process.

YachtCloser, developed by a Lake Mary, FL yacht broker, provides an online platform where secure electronic signatures and document management expedite the closing process and eliminate the need for a buyer or seller to travel to the actual closing location.

Manatee Pocket Yacht Sales owner and broker Tom Whittington began using the system this spring in what he deemed the company's busiest sales week thus far in 2012, "We closed a sale in two hours from initial showing to delivery, closed three additional sales including one in Australia, submitted offers on three additional boats, and signed four new listings. Without YachtCloser, this would not have been possible."

Whittington shared a typical yacht closing can take more than six hours and usually involves lots of scanning and faxing and the overnighting of contracts for signatures if owners or buyers are located elsewhere, all adding hours, days and even weeks to a boat closing.

"Besides reducing closing time, this technology gives the buyer, seller and broker secure electronic access to the documents. Contract changes can be made quickly, documents can be downloaded to one's personal computer or uploaded and archived to the YachtCloser's secure data center, and the convenience of electronic signatures means we can conduct a closing anywhere in the world," added Whittington.

Whittington also noted that off-premise electronic contract storage of these legal documents provides yacht brokers a huge advantage, eliminating any threats of loss due to fire, hurricanes, theft or other natural disasters.

Manatee Pocket Yachts Sales, founded in 2010 is located at Manatee Marina in Port Salerno, FL. Bringing the dream of boat ownership to buyers from Canada and the U.S. to South America and Australia, the company employs eight yacht brokers, is the Florida agent for Stamford, Connecticut based Robert Christopher Marine Group and is a member of the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast.   For more information, visit http://www.ManateePocketYachtSales.com or call (772) 600-8535.
