Get the Inside Scoop to Luxury London with VenuesUp
Locals and visitors alike can now effortlessly organise chic nights out in London at some of the city’s most exclusive and distinguished addresses thanks to new smartphone app VenuesUp (www.venuesup.com).
Unlike other social apps, VenuesUp is the first to link restaurants with nightclubs and bars to offer complete evening experiences. The app catalogues no more than 100 of the best fine dining restaurants and upmarket bars and clubs at any one time; all of which are regularly updated and reviewed for quality and accuracy. A standout feature of the app is the emphasis on the aesthetic instead of text-heavy descriptions. The quality of the featured venues is demonstrated with full photo galleries that showcase the interiors, exteriors, cuisine and even the entertainment where applicable. For Murano by Angela Hartnett, delectable menu favourites are displayed along with assorted views of the plush interiors and furnishings while über-glamorous members club Jalouse shares sneaky peeks of its spectacular dance floor, bar and facilities.
To make reservations, users select their preferred date, time and group number and notify the venue via a simple request form. The venue will then respond with a confirmation note or call directly to suggest another date or time to suit – a great personal touch not offered by any comparable reservation app!
Other useful features include Google Maps, a Favourites tab and a search function which allows users to choose by area, cuisine or music type.
VenuesUp is now available to download for iPhone, iPad and Android and will be available soon for Blackberry and Windows 7.
Notes to editor:
VenuesUp is the free app for people living in or visiting London who wish to dine and socialise at the best venues. The app enables searches for the most exclusive venues by area, cuisine or music. VenuesUp has handpicked a select number of restaurants, bars and clubs to ensure premium access to the best places, sublime dining and memorable entertainment experiences.
The app allows users to reserve a table or a guest list which is then confirmed directly by the venue. Prior to the booking users can access the venue's photo gallery, brief description, an indicative average price and availability. Users can also create a list of their favourite venues to speed up the search process for future visits. Once the booking has been confirmed users can share details and invite friends to join via email, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn directly through the app.
