Pamplona and the Running of the Bulls 2012
Join Iberian Traveler in Pamplona for San Fermín 2012 and help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Peña Seattle de Sanfermines
Casa de Misericordia de Pamplona (MECA), managers of the Plaza del Toro, and a charity, unique within Spain, has selected the bull ranches, Granderías, for this year’s bull festival. This year’s cartel includes the bulls from Juan Pedro Domecq, Dolores Aguirre, Miura, Cebada Gago, Victoriano de Río, El Pilar, Fuente Ymbro, and for the first time in Pamplona, the Torrehandilla bulls of Joaquín Morales.
Iberian Traveler - Maribel's Guides, in association with Peña Seattle, are offering exclusive hotel packages for Sanfermín 2012. These packages, from 2 to 10 nights, are available at their select 3, 4 and 5-star hotels in the city.
All of the hotel packages include balcony reservations for watching the encierro, the running of the bulls. The VIP balcony program includes a special buffet breakfast following the encierro.
Bullfight tickets are available on a limited basis for those wishing to attend a bullfight during the festival. Seats are located in the tendido sombra (lower level shade) and andanada sombra (upper level shade) in sections 1, 2 & 3.
As part of their services, Iberian Traveler can arrange private transfers from Spain's major airports including San Sebastian-Donostia, Bilbao, Barcelona and Madrid, as well as from Biarritz and Pau in southwest France.
Private guides and city tours for individuals or small groups are also available throughout the fiesta.
Recognized by the Tourist Office of Spain and the Government of Navarra as the leading expert for the fiesta in Pamplona, Iberian Traveler offers their clients the unique opportunity to become a part of the fiesta, including joining the holy procession of San Fermín on the morning of the 7th.
