May 27, 2012 - PRLog -- On a sunny spring day during the month of May, several Philadelphia poets joined with staff members from ApiaryMagazine for a reading poetry in the park. The atmosphere was kinetic as people were lounging in the grass, walking dogs and enjoying one another.

Other artists were also performing in the park, one young man was doing Michael Jackson dance impersonation, and another couple were rehearsing acrobatic movements.

Poets such as Mel Brake, Naila Schulte, Lament Steptoe, B.E. Kahn, Janet Spangler ,
Octavia McBride-Ahebee and many others were gathered to record a video to promote
ApiaryMagazine book launch on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 7PM-2AM.

The Launch Party and Literary Carnival will be held at Underground Arts,
at the Wolf Building,1200 Callowhill Street, Philadelphia, PA.

The event promises to be fascinating and very entertaining with live jazz,
pinata poetry slam, artistic rebuttal book project, readings by poets published in the magazine, and a dance party in the wee hours of the morning.
