By: MKV Productions Southern Hippie started as a vision by local Austinite Elizabeth Lockhart while working in the world of non-profits. While finishing her graduate degree she caught the retail bug and started Southern Hippie with $1,000 worth of inventory during the summer of 2011. Southern Hippie has evolved from the once ‘lets have a trunk show once a month out of a friend’s home’ to a storefront location in Georgetown, Texas, and a children’s clothing boutique by the name of Baby Hippie which also debut's the following day May 31st at the Georgetown location. The newest addition to the Southern Hippie brand is a traveling boutique that is nestled in to a fully renovated 1965 vintage Airstream trailer. The Airstream trailer has been undergoing renovations since November 2011 and will make it's first park and debut the last weekend of May in The 2nd District thanks to her father, Tony Lockhart, who runs a local sheet metal business. The trailer features upscale clothing and accessory designers all with a SOUTHERN HIPPIE feel and as always is FINE, FASHION AND FORWARD!
