Redondo Beach Memorial Day Ceremony

May 23, 2012 - PRLog -- REDONDO BEACH, CA.  Traditional Memorial Day services at the new Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial on Veterans Park near the Redondo Pier, Monday 28 May. Activities will begin at 1PM followed by a BBQ at the adjacent Redondo Elks Lodge.
    The solem observance will include reflection and rememberence,music,commentary and honors to to all those members of the armed forces who paid the ultimate sacrifice in our nations wars.. Memorial Day is a time to honor the fallen.
    Participants include the Redondo High School Marines Corps Junior ROTC who will also be acknowledged for their service to the community and support of veterans.
Speakers include Assemblywomen Betsy Butler and Under Secretary of the California Department of Veterans Affairs, Larry Gonzales. Music will be provided by the Los Angeles Police Pipes and Drums and the Redondo Beach High School Band.
    Event sponsored by the Redondo Beach Veterans Task Force, the Redondo Elks Lodge, # 1348 and the City of Redondo Beach.
    Veterans Park is located at 309 Esplande(corner of Torrance and Catalina by the Redondo Beach Pier). Event open to the public.
