Paint and Sip Studio opens to engage new artists, support local community

May 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Saratoga Springs, NY- A new form of entertainment has spread throughout the country and has finally reached the Capital Region.  By combing an art gallery and bar, this studio manages to create a date night, ladies night out or corporate team building workshop you’ll never forget. Saratoga Paint and Sip Studio will offer nightly 2 and 3-hour sessions in which customers will learn to create their own masterpieces, all while enjoying a glass of beer or wine. This new addition to downtown Saratoga Springs will offer an alternative night out and provide a unique creative outlet for the community.

Husband and wife duo, Mark and Catherine Hover, moved to the area just one year ago and jumped on the opportunity to introduce the ‘paint and sip’ concept to Upstate New York residents. “A new addition to downtown Saratoga Springs’ artsy vibe will make art accessible to those who couldn’t imagine picking up a paint brush, otherwise,” Hover said.

Customers visit the studio’s website, review the calendar of featured paintings and select the painting and date they’d like to attend. Next, all there is to do is show up and prepare to be impressed. Upon arrival, they receive all materials: paint, brushes, canvas and apron, grab a drink from the in-studio bar and take a seat while a local artist walks them through the featured painting. At the end of the night, patrons leave the studio with their own painting in hand and ready to showcase in their home or gift to a friend. Private parties for birthdays, bachelorettes or corporate team building are welcomed.

In addition to being a popular nightlife destination, Saratoga Paint and Sip Studio aims to get involved in community fundraising and offer retail space to local artists to showcase their work.
