Oregon Approves Bloodborne Pathogens Course for Electrologists, Tattoo Artists, and Body Piercers

The Body Art Training Group announced that one of its online continuing education courses, “Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control for Body Art Professionals”, has been approved by the Oregon Health Licensing Agency.
 
May 24, 2012 - PRLog -- The Oregon Health Licensing Agency has approved  “Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control for Body Art Professionals”, an online course created by the Body Art Training Group, for 2 hours of continuing education credit for electrologists.

Oregon also recognized the course as meeting the criteria for bloodborne pathogen training certification needed by tattoo artists and body piercers for initial licensure and renewal.

This course also complies with the initial and annual bloodborne pathogens training requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  After successful completion of this online course, a Certificate of Completion can be immediately printed.

"Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control for Body Art Professionals" is a narrated course.  It has five sections: OSHA; Pathogens and Communicable Diseases; Chain of Infection; Exposure Control and Infection Prevention Plans; and Compliance.
