New Jersey Repertory Company (SuzAnne Barabas, Artistic Director; Gabor Barabas, Executive Producer) is proud to present the world premiere production of American Stare by Tony Glazer, directed by Evan Bergman. American Stare will begin preview performances on Thursday, June 14, 2012 and will celebrate its opening night on Saturday, June 16 at New Jersey Repertory Company (179 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ), running through Sunday, July 22. American Stare is a ferocious new comedy set in a South Florida trailer park where corporate greed meets its match in a community that will go to any lengths to protect its own. Following the spiraling lives of a widowed woman and her dog, a disabled accused child-predator, and a couple and their teenage daughter, we are challenged to see the world through their eyes – a world led by a broken moral compass, tainted with pervasiveness of special interests.
