-- Vancouver, Wash. — May 22, 2012 — Northwest Interpreters, Inc. (NWI) is proud to announce that Vic Marcus, Vice President of Business Development, has joined the Board of Directors of the Association of Language Companies (ALC). “I am honored to have this opportunity,”
Mr. Marcus said of the volunteer position. Mr. Marcus currently is on ALC’s Leadership Council, where he moderates webinars and generates new ideas to help ALC move forward.
A national trade association, ALC represents businesses that provide interpretation, translation, localization, and language training services. ALC promotes its U.S.-based members through advocacy measures that help build members’ economic positions. ALC also fosters the professional development of language company owners, as well as their senior management.
At NWI, Mr. Marcus focuses on developing on-site interpretation, over-the-phone interpretation (OPI), translation and localization, and sign language services. He looks forward to his term on ALC’s Board of Directors. “Effective leadership ultimately translates to success,” he says.
