-- Virginia Beach, VA – Essential Wellness Center and Living Foods Café will begin holding raw food as medicine classes beginning in June. Held every Monday at 10am and 6 pm as well as every Saturday at 2pm, the classes are typically two hours long and incorporate a full day worth of menu planning for patients as well as visitors to the center. Led by Dr. Steele, a practicing naturopath, Erica teaches the nutrient components behind the foods, which diseases can be assisted with the food choices, as well as which foods should be avoided that are condition specific. RSVP for raw food classes at http://www.vabeachwellness.com/
Visitors can look forward to leaving with the recipes as well as observing the food preparation in the center and being able to eat the food afterward. Classes have multiple themes including a focus on the immune system, blood pressure, 10 mins meals, pizza & pasta, children’s food classes, and many more popular class options.
“If we give the body what it desires to do its job the immune system will be fully supported and therefore heal itself”, says Dr. Steele. “From a naturopathic perspective disease develops based on nutrient deficiencies and accumulated toxicities we work to support those needs within our center”.
Essential Wellness Center in Virginia Beach is a natural medicine primary care facility that has over 25 wellness center services including a lengthy detoxification service list and a raw food cafe. She sees patients 5 days a week working with them on various health goals and encouraging them to maintain a program to keep them well. “We all know the importance of eating fruits and veggies, but why aren’t people running to the nearest farmers market instead of the nearest fast food facility. We build a lot of fallacies around food i.e I don’t have time, I am bored with eating the same thing, etc. I work with patients to transform their consciousness by breaking down the fallacies to inspire change from within, says Dr. Steele. And if I get to feed them healthy raw organic food in the process, that’s not too bad either.” Learn more about Essential Wellness Center and Living Foods Café at www.vabeachwellness.com.
