May 22, 2012 - PRLog -- When shopping for designer products such as Ugg boots, it is important to know if the shoes are fake or not. You don't want to pay high-end prices, only to find out what you just purchased was actually a fake product. There are some tell signs you can use to find this out though, so as long as you have a keen eye, it shouldn't be a problem for you to identify this information. Whether you are shopping for the Ugg boots online or have spotted a location on the street selling Uggboots, you need to know if what you are buying is fake or not.

For starters, look at the stitching of the product, especially around where the fuzzy outer coating meets the sole of the boot. There should be no visible stitching right here, unless you pull up on the fuzzy area to reveal where the two parts of the boot come together. If, however, you can notice threading that isn't straight, crossed over itself or even visible when you are not manipulating the fuzzy area of the boot, than you know it is a fake boot and not a real Ugg boots. If you spot anything like this, avoid doing so as the boot is a fake.

Look at where you are purchasing the boot. This is a large indicator as to if the boot is going to be fake or not. If you are buying the boot from a reputable dealer online or in person, the boot is generally going to be real. Department stores and individuals with a high reputation is not going to sell you fake products as they don't want to tarnish this. However, if you are on the street buying the material from a vender running out of a small stall, there are higher chances the Ugg boots are going to be fake.

Identify the tag inside the boot. This tag is a small piece of paper. Check for any fading or smudging on the tag. If the tag is smudged it is because low quality paper and ink was used, signally it is fake. On top of this, read through the information printed on the tag. Many fake Ugg boots will have "Made in Italy" or "Made in China" tags. Uggs are made in Australia and should be said as much. If this is not the case, avoid purchasing the boots.
