Poetry to mix with music at the Dylan Thomas Centre
An exciting evening of poetry and music is set to take place at The Dylan Thomas Centre on Friday 25 May.
Chris Torrance and Chris Vine, collectively known as the Heat Poets have worked together since 1985, and have developed a startlingly contemporary form of poetry with music.
Jo Furber, Literature Officer at the Dylan Thomas Centre said “We’re looking forward to host an event by the Heat Poets who have fused poetry and music together superbly.
“They will perform poetry influenced by a variety of genres of music including rock, rap, and European”.
Chris Torrance has featured in a number of key revival anthologies, including Conductors of Chaos and Other: British and Irish Poetry since 1970.
His major work is the ongoing Magic Door sequence.
Co-star Vine is based in Brazil where he works as composer with Verve Cia de Dança and has worked with companies such as Earthfall, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru and the Centre for Performance Research.
