May 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Her writing broke barriers in the past and laid the ground work for such genres as erotica in the mainstream women’s fiction that has recently become poplar.  Asked why Austin Kathy replied “The edginess and energy of the entire area will help my strong female leads break through in their demanding roles”.

My women characters always succeeded in their goals even though the path to their success wasn’t always clear and it called upon their inner strengths and outward wit to make it happen.  Thai’s the way I see the women of the Austin area.  It will be a great environment to be creative.”

In the past Kathy instructed writing classes at the college level and junior college level in Colorado and Pennsylvania.  She was a professor at York College of Pennsylvania. With the move to Austin Kathy made it known that she was willing to help invigorate the Austin area’s writing community.  “Whether it is helping others learn to write by one-one working sessions, becoming a mentor or just being an active critique group member, I am ready to help Austin to become known for far more than live music” Kathy observed.

Early in her career Kathy was a founding member of the Colorado Romance Writers organization and served as a Vice President of the Romance Writers of America..
