Barefoot Studios Design Debuts New Collections at SURTEX 2012

May 16, 2012 - PRLog -- CHARLOTTE, NC (May 18,2012) – Charlotte based Barefoot Studios will be debuting their new designs by Pam Wingard at SURTEX 2012  in New York City on May 20-22. She will be in booth 554 in the Javits Center with over 50 collections that combine whimsical line drawings, painterly styles and modern color combinations.  

Barefoot Studios’ Pam Wingard formerly designed stationery products that were sold in retail stores across the country under the brand ‘Cupcakes and Cocktails- A Paperie’ and the Barefoot Studios label. Her designs were also sold by Doodlebugs Infant Products Company and Provincetown Papers.

After producing and selling her products in stores for over six years, she determined that licensing her artwork was a better way to keep up with customer demand and spend more time in the studio. All designs are now available for licensing in multiple categories, including stationery.  Themes include coastal, food, wine, children’s and Christmas.

“Barefoot Studios is the product of my passion for art, design and color. I love objects that are both useful and well designed - paper napkins, wrapping paper, little notebooks, stationery and fabric,” says Pam.

All designs are hand drawn or painted. Pam works with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to add colors, patterns and repeats. Her work is done in layers to allow revisions to be done quickly and easily. She is flexible and easy to work with, offering manufacturers the option to change colors and designs to best meet the needs of their customers.

Pam has exhibited at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) show in Anaheim, California and the AmericasMart License & Design show in Atlanta, Georgia.

Pam has worked as a designer/illustrator since 2000.  Prior to that, she worked as an Account Executive for a software company.  She has a Graphic Design degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, a Marketing Degree from Utah State University and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. She has won awards for her fine art and is a member of the 2012 Arts and Science Council Leadership Training Class, the Mint Museum Auxiliary, the Charlotte Art League, and Festival in the Park board.
