May 16, 2012 - PRLog -- TVR Computers, a national importer and distributor of IT and electronic equipment, has increased its range of available SMC Network product.

The distributor company has incorporated several new solutions into its portfolio, including the SMC Networks SMCGS10P-Smart EZ Switch, the SMC7904WBRAS-N2 v2 and the SMCWBR14S- N5.

The SMCGS10P is a 10-port Gigabit Ethernet smart switch providing eight Gigabit PoE ports and two 100/1000 BASE-X SFP slots. It supports a flexible web-based management interface and SNMP for both IPv4 and IPv6, and is ideally suited to users that want to migrate from unmanaged to managed networks.

The SMC7904WBRAS-N2 v2 is a three-in-one wireless ADSL2/2+ router designed for Internet connectivity. It includes an ADSL modem, four Ethernet ports, and an 802.11n high-speed wireless function.

This solution supports the most up-to-date ADSL 2/2+ standards to provide the best DSL performance and up to 24 Mbps downstream and 2Mbps upstream speeds.

Added to the list of newly available product is the SMCWBR14S-N5, a wireless broadband router part of the SMC Networks Barricade™ family.

This is an all-in-one networking solution for connecting and sharing high-speed cable/xDSL Internet connection. The multi-functional router combines a four port 10/100 Mbps LAN switch, a high-speed 150 Mbps 11n access point, NAT firewall with SPI, and a user friendly web-based management interface in a compact form-factor device.

“These are highly functional value-added network solutions that have been custom-made to help local businesses grow. We are in the business of empowering clients to do more with their technology,  to develop and to ensure that customers can leverage off the latest network performance standards,” says Leroy Baartman, CEO at TVR Computers.

Paul Luff, country manager, SMC Networks South Africa, says the partnership between SMC Networks and TVR Computers certainly meets a growing demand for reliable networking infrastructure from various segments in the domestic market.

“We are pleased to have this partnership place. It certainly adds value to the channel and the supply of critical network solutions to developing areas of the market. TVR’s experience and proactive approach to distribution reinforces the partnership and its value proposition,” says Luff.

Both TVR and SMC Networks believe the emergence of the ‘smart’ network will continue to drive local business development.
