SEM Link exposes Metro Atlanta youth to STEM Career at STEM Career Fair on May 19 at Georgia Tech

Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc (SEM Link) through its Math and Science Career Academy hosts 5th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) Career Fair & Exhibition to expose K-12 students to STEM Careers.
 
May 14, 2012 - PRLog -- On Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 10:00am- 2:00 pm at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc. (SEM Link)  through its Math and Science Career Academy will host its 5th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Career Fair and Exhibition. The STEM Career Fair and Exhibition, which is free and open to the public, features exhibitors, STEM professionals, and students who will discuss their careers, conduct hands-on demonstrations or showcase real world applications of math and science.  The event is designed to facilitate students visiting the tables of the exhibitors and moving freely between activities; it will provide K-12 students with an opportunity to explore careers and meet and interact with professionals in these fields. Georgia Tech’s Student Center Ballroom is located at 350 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA. This event is free and open to the public; however pre-registration is strongly suggested at

Event sponsors include Georgia Institute of Technology School of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Eiram Creative, Georgia Space Grant Consortium, The Coca-Cola Company, Smart Aleck Wear LLC, Georgia Local Section of the American Chemical Society and Georgia Institute of Technology College of Engineering. Event exhibitors represent organizations such as the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, CIBA Vision, Georgia State University, Emory School of Medicine, Morehouse College and other Metro Atlanta corporations, government agencies, colleges and university and nonprofit organizations. “I am excited about this year’s fair because it is one of our most diverse ones yet as far as the number of different STEM disciplines our exhibitors represent.” Founder and Executive Director Tokiwa Smith said. “We will have biologists, chemists, engineers, forensics scientist, health care professionals, physicists and many more all making time in their schedule to “unveil potential through exposure” for Metro Atlanta youth..”
