New documentary about deportation and immigration announced by start-up production company.
TCB Entertainment, Inc. has announced their first production project and it looks like one that is sure to plant them right in the middle of a hot controversy in American today, immigration.
“Today immigration is such a political hot topic. While the news media does what the news business is all about, showing the worst of the worst, falling through the cracks are the countless heartbreaking stories of people just like you and I that are just trying to make a better life for themselves and their families” says first time filmmaker Jeff Hall.
“After spending five years in Mexico I have come across many, many examples of people just like that, and let me tell you it gave me a different perspective on the situation” continues Jeff.
The documentary entitled “The Unwanted” will take a look at the personal stories of those deported and their families on a human interest level and not a political one. “This film is not about the politics of the situation, it's not about presenting any agenda, it’s about the people” according to Jeff.
The Unwanted will be a full length documentary exploring the personal stories of people that have been affected from all sides with first hand interviews filmed in both the U.S. and in Mexico with the objective of giving the viewers a clearer perspective of the complexity of the situation outside the normal preconceptions and bias, from one viewpoint or the other, that you might normally see in dealing with such a delicate issue.
TCB will be utilizing the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.com to fund the projects production budget and are looking at a early to mid 2013 release date.
