Ryland F. Mahathey Joins Broad and Cassel’s Boca Raton Office

May 11, 2012 - PRLog -- The Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce that attorney Ryland F. Mahathey has joined the firm’s Boca Raton office as Of Counsel in the Estate Planning and Trusts Practice Group.

Florida Bar Board Certified in Tax Law, Mahathey brings to the firm significant experience in sophisticated estate planning, asset protection planning, charitable planning and tax-exempt organizations, business succession planning and business entities. As a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified Exit Planner, he has valuable insight to the needs of his clients. Mahathey previously practiced at Redgrave & Rosenthal, LLP in Boca Raton.

A frequent speaker and author on various tax and legal topics, he is a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow. He has been honored with numerous accolades by the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society, most recently as Palm Beach County Tax Attorney of the Year (2011) for his pro bono service to the community. He is a member of the Business Enterprise Institute, Institute of Management Accountants, South Palm Beach County Bar Association, and Tax and Real Property Sections of the Florida Bar, and the Florida Institute of CPAs.

Mahathey graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla., and went on to earn his Masters in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. He received his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, and received a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida School of Law, where he served as graduate editor of the Florida Tax Review. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Kentucky. An avid runner, he has also completed ten marathons.
