May 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Could you cram your five-a-day in one go, between two slices of bread?

That’s the big healthy food challenge health information website Patient.co.uk are setting to the nation, via their Facebook page, to celebrate British Sandwich Week 2012 [12 May-19 May].

How to take up this tasty challenge:

Step 1: ‘Like’ http://www.facebook.com/patientuk

Step 2: Invent your own five-a-day sandwich combo. Fillings like slices of one medium tomato, a 5cm cucumber portion, or three heaped tablespoons of grated carrot all count. Got a sweet tooth? How about adding slices of one apple or a cupful of grapes? Need more fruit ‘n’ veg inspiration? View this trusted healthy eating guide: http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Healthy-Eating.htm

Step 3: Snap your sandwich and post your photo up on Patient.co.uk's  Facebook page wall. Along with your picture list out your chosen five-a-day and mark it with the caption: ‘My great five-a-day sandwich’.

Step 4: Tuck in! And wait to see if you’ve been selected as their big prize winner…

All photo entries to the Great five-a-day in one sandwich challenge will be included in a special prize draw. Competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over. Further competition Terms & Conditions are listed on Patient.co.uk's Facebook page. Closing date for all entries: midnight 12th June 2012.
